What kind of adjustments or sacrifices does one make in his or her daily life when involved in fighting a war?|||It depends partly on your job but all soldiers have to prepare to separate from their family and friends. Then there are the weather conditions - hot as hell in Iraq and cold in the mountains of Afghanistan. I'm in the Infantry and our job sucks - escorting convoys while wondering if an IED is going to go off or a sniper is going to get a lucky shot in. Either that or we are on patrol among the local populace wondering what is going to happen and who the good and bad guys are. At the start of the mission you say a prayer and carry your bible or lucky rabbits foot and head out and hope you make it.
Before I left I made a video for all my kids in case I didn't make it. We all make sure our wills and powers of attorney are up to date. We all plan on what we will do when we come home for R and R.|||It plain OLe Sucks! I've read plenty of bios:and glad I never went to WAR in a physical way.But Christians are in a WAR that humans deny and create the physical wars.

|||Depends on your involvment in fighting the war. It's different for a troop that is taking fire daily, or humpoingthroughthe jungles in heat and rain as apposed to one that is fighting the war froma safe base, maybe clerical, mechanical and such!|||well, it would seem that foot soldiers have it tough, but I think that the problems in Iraq and Afghanistan are alot smaller than the media make them out to be, and also, not all the stuff going on over there is bad, just the other day, I saw a video from Iraq of a bunch of Marines dancing with Iraqi kids, the Iraqi kids got SERVED!|||lit, the song says your going to know when the bullet hits the bone?|||BORING 99 percent of time. The other one percent is WAR!!!.
