How the war in Gaza is different from the war in Lebanon 2006?

The Israeli Winograd report suggests the war in Lebanon 2006 was a failure in many ways. Is Israel really doing it differently this time? How different?|||Well, for one thing, Israel isn't using US equipment and vehicles like they did in Lebanon '06 that the US put in Israel as part of a strategic reserve in case the US had to use them in the Middle East. In other words, they weren't put there for Israeli use.

I don't think that Israel is doing anything different, but it's mostly in the political sense, not the military sense. Israel's political policy concerning their borders, foreign policy, and the terrible treatment of non-Jews is what the problem is. It doesn't matter how good your military is if the reason the military is being used is wrong in the first place.

As with the situation in Lebanon concerning Hezbollah, the situation in Gaza with Hamas is one that was created by Israel. Groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the PLO was created by Israel as a result of the horrendous treatment of the Palestinians by Israel. Those people felt they had no other means to fight for their rights than to resort to terroristic acts against Israel, which is no surprise since all terrorism is is another form of unconventional warfare.|||The main difference is that the Israelis have had the palestinians under siege warfare for two years in an attempt to starve them and kill them through lack of medical care since the IDF proved in Lebanon that it could never defeat an enemy with the strength of the well fed.

Also, Gaza is a completely blockaded ghetto so that it is much like bombing fish in a barrel. There is nowhere for the population to run or hide, and no way, beyond a few tunnels into Egypt for them to resupply.

Hamas is not nearly as well equiped as Hezbollah in the first place.

In Gaza it is impossible to drop a bomb without blowing up civilians since it is the most densely inhabited region on Earth. In Lebanon the IDF had to go out of it's way to target the thousands of civilians that it murdered.|||Israel will not give in to pressure, and will do what has to be done to secure peace and remove the potential of future carnage brought upon the Palestinian and Israeli people by Hamas.

Hezbollah has been permitted to cause havoc into future generations, by the good intentions of nations who persuaded Israel to not-complete the job.|||yeha by killing 900 civll in 13 days .230 chilled between them and 90 women.

i don't how the west think, israel want peace haha com'n people thier on flag mean they want all the arabs country.from the river of egypt to the river of iraq and what between them

by the way they do belive that jeses is a son of a whore|||Slaughter machine.
