How do you feel about video recordings of war?

How do you feel about video recordings of war? I heard about a documentary about World War 2 recently that showed a lot of actual video footage of the war, including people being killed. On the other hand, the US military in Iraq right now is trying to prevent people from making those types of videos, expecially if they show US soldiers getting injured or killled. That means future documentaries might not be able to show this Iraq conflict as it actually happened? Do you agree with making videos that are real or keeping them from being made? Explain why?|||ifeel great so far we win|||I belive they're good as they show the realities of war.|||I feel that war is too real to not be shown for what it is and shown on television in the present.

It is only by showing the full force of war with all of the violence and gore that people will truly know what they have been supporting.|||Al Qaeda has the grizzliest viedo footage: I saw one video of an IED hitting a Humvee and you see some body part shooting upwards and disintegrating on the way down.

Video games are sometimes worse.|||this is a double edge question for alot of people esp those that have loved ones over there...

if we have real time videos of events unfolding over there then we can learn from past mistakes...but on the other hand i personally would not want to see a convo that my husband is in being attacked and people i know and love being killed.

i think that we need to have documentation about everything that has happened but it needs to edited not to hide any wrong doing but to protect the families of those soldiers that were on the video dying.
