|||They are similar in the sense that the enemy is using effectie guerilla tactics.


Add to that that the media has already written the war off as a failure with the politicians, the public is weary of the war and we now have a new effective counterstrategy to the insurgency and it is a modern day Vietnam.|||40 years one lasted ten years or more and killed 55'000 G.I's


the latter was over in a month and killed less that a thousand at the end of major fighting. ie massive sorties bombings tanks you know the usual war stuff. What we see now is not war it's what goes on here at home in the states everyday. only the Libs want too make something of a crusade against our legitamate president.





If Bush would have won the popular vote I'll bet Iraq would have gone the way of Afghanistan.





Ask Saddam who won the war, for those who think we are still at war with Iraq.|||Similarities:-

A no-win situation because of above.


Domestic Troops and Police untrustworthy cowards.
