How is another expensive war going to help the economy?

The war in Iraq has so far cost $780 billion.

The war in Afghanistan has cost $380 billion, with the main aim there to secure the poppy fields and the opium industry. Meanwhile Americas "War on Drugs" cost the federal government $15 billion and the state and local governments another $25 billion last year alone.

These numbers will all rise, and if you add to this a war in Libya, you gotta ask are Americans really happy to keep just paying their taxes in support of a government like this?|||People may not be happy about it, but they're not going to stop it; they don't know how. Congress can't even stop it at this point; the precedent of Presidents engaging in acts of war under their own authority (thanks to the War Powers Act) is so well cemented, there will never be any serious opposition to it.

Donovan: Bombing any target inside of a sovereign nation is an act of war; just imagine what America would think if China took out some of our radar and anti-aircraft capabilities with some missiles.|||Draft all the unemployed and welfare recipients, give them a rifle and send to the sand box.

They will be employed until they get killed, their bodies could be turned into fertilizer, and they won't come back to draw more unemployment.

But not to worry, there will still be a huge glut of illegals coming in to take their places so there will still be unemployment, and of course they will work cheap, and not pay taxes, but they will draw welfare benefits.

The cycle of social justice will continue.|||NOT HAPPY! I was just complaining about the 2 wars and they take on another fight? Think of all the union teachers we could have paid with that money! These wars are not making us safer or even making us money! This is idealistic rich people at their worst! Our schools suck and health care blows and we can do is fight and bomb people?

We look so stupid to the world- while China is growing and educating its people in leaps and bounds- our sad dumb men are poising with dead people? T hey probably couldn't read the memo that said stop humiliating yourselves and committing war crimes!|||Enforcing a no fly zone is not an act of war|||Because Libya has oil, and lots of it.
